Our Areas of Work
AB3D works with citizens, communities, young people, women, public institutions and partners to strengthen democratic participation, inclusive governance and locally driven solutions to social and environmental challenges in Burundi.
Civic Education Programs
We provide civic education to citizens, young people and community leaders, strengthening their understanding of democratic values, rights and responsibilities and their ability to participate meaningfully in public and community life.
Community Dialogues & Forums
We create safe and inclusive spaces where citizens, local authorities and other stakeholders can discuss public issues, build understanding and develop solutions that reflect community priorities.
Participatory Governance
We support citizen consultations, participatory decision-making and other approaches that enable communities to contribute meaningfully to public affairs and promote more transparent and responsive governance.
Youth Leadership Development
We equip young people with knowledge, leadership skills and networks that enable them to participate in civic life, advocate for positive change and contribute to their communities.
Climate & Environmental Governance
We facilitate dialogue and collaborative action on climate change, environmental protection and ecosystem restoration, connecting community participation with more inclusive and responsive environmental governance.
Civic Innovation
We promote creative, inclusive and practical approaches to civic engagement, including the appropriate use of technology to expand opportunities for citizens to participate.
